Fox Entertainment chief Kevin Reilly is coming to the defense of Ryan Murphy and the producers of Glee. The gang have come under attack recently for making contradictory statements about the future of the cast and a possible spinoff. But Reilly dismissed the notion that the show’s cast and producers were at war. “There are many shows that have fighting … [but] that’s not been the case with this show,†he said Friday at Fox’s portion of the TV Critics Association press tour. “It’s a good group of people … This is really not, in the grand scheme of things, a big deal.†As for the show itself, Reilly also declared season three would start with a minimum amount of stunting. “There aren’t going to be any big guest stars. There aren’t going to be any big tribute numbers,†he said. “You’re going to see a back to basics year.†Guess that means Gwyneth Paltrow should have plenty of time to make movies this fall.
