You may have thought that the first Ghost Rider movie left no unanswered questions, but the trailer for the sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, will quickly prove you wrong. “What if you have to pee while you’re on fire?†a little boy asks Nicolas Cage. (What, indeed!) And then, like a loaded bladder introduced in the first act that’s destined to go off in the third, the trailer answers that question with an indelible final image: Cage, in full Ghost Rider regalia, arcing out a stream of flaming pee like Ripley torching the eggs at the end of Aliens. It actually seems like a semi-useful sort of power, the kind of weaponized bodily function a hero might have had in a Japanese NES game that never made it to our shores for obvious reasons. But we have it now, and we have it in the trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. May the whole movie be that wackadoo.
