Well, this is exciting: David Cross is going to play a recurring character on the upcoming season of Modern Family. He’ll be playing “city councilman Duane, who will go toe-to-toe with Claire.†It’s not clear how many episodes he’ll be in, but expect at least a handful. And hey, who knows, maybe Cam and Mitchell will end up adopting him as a second child and he’ll become a permanent cast member. Think about it, guys! It might be just the curveball the show needs to stay fresh. Don’t count it out.
