I have the sneaking suspicion, based on the House of Lies trailer posted by co-star Ben Schwartz, that the new Showtime show might be coming out at the wrong time in history. Remember when Sex And The City 2 came out during the recession (that we are currently sliding back into)? The reminder that our every decision is influenced by corporations makes me want to hurl a garbage can through the windshield of a cop car, is what I’m saying. However, if Don Cheadle and the gang are in fact some kind of It’s Always Sunny-esque team of total unrelenting dirtbags, that would be an excellent way balance out the subject material. As long as we acknowledge how horrible the world is, then we can all laugh at it!
