Is Jimmy Fallon a wheelin’ and dealin’ comedy kingpin, or what? He just sold NBC three comedies, to be co-produced by Late Night writer Amy Ozols and written by other proven NBC writers.
DILFs, about “dads struggling with not being grown up enough to parent,†will be written by The Office’s Charlie Grandy. Fat Rob, about a father who’s a former rapper, is in the hands of Jeremy Bronson, whom we spoke to in January about his work at Late Night. And Rick is about a “loveable doofusâ€-turned-stepdad and will be written by Late Night’s Gerard Bradford. Alright! 2012 is officially gonna be The Year of the Dad-Com.
