Renée Zellwegger has sold a series to Lifetime called Cinnamon Girl. It’s set in the late sixties and early seventies, and will focus on four women in Los Angeles during the cultural revolution, but is also loosely based on Zellweger’s own life, specifically her move from Texas to Hollywood. (Presumably one, if not more, of the characters will have this particular arc.) Zellweger herself was born in 1969: If this means she wasn’t a young adult in the late sixties, her birthday certainly is no impediment to loving Mad Men and, like just about everyone with a birthday in any year whatsoever, wanting to make a show like it.
