Rudin will executive produce the half-hour comedy based on Karen Russell’s debut novel, the story of a failed Everglades gator farm and the family who runs it. (Presumably, the show will focus on Ava, the book’s 13-year-old narrator/gator-wrangler and her haughty 17-year-old brother Kiwi. Oh, and don’t forget the Bird Man.) You may remember that Rudin is also attached to the Noah Baumbach HBO adaptation of The Corrections; it’s been a big month for him and fancy novels that people like to argue about at dinner parties. Next up: Marriage Plot? People have so many opinions about that bandana. [THR]
