NBC is milking its Betty White connections and throwing the star a “dinner-style†90th birthday party, which the network will then air as a special right around January 17, the Golden Girl’s birthday, according to TV Guide. Last year, White celebrated her birthday off-camera with “a giant Metamucil cake with creme de Ben Gay frosting,†which means someone at NBC is desperately trying to orchestrate celebrity-studded bash that can top that. That same person is probably trying to engineer something to reignite that Betty White craze from a few years ago in a way Hot in Cleveland has been unable to do.
