The League has been picked up for a fourth season, FX announced today, which isn’t surprising, but that doesn’t make it any less joyous. The current third season has been fantastic — the Jeff Goldblum Thanksgiving episode is a special standout — and the ratings bear that out; the show is getting 25 percent over last season. The League is its funniest the farther it gets from its loose fantasy-football foundation, which is part of why this season has been so ridiculous: It’s only barely been about football and has been way more about the show’s trademark one-upsmanship. Eskimo brothers for everyone!
