When a “historic band reunion” announcement was promised for the Grammys Nomination concert, rumor had it that the Beach Boys might be the “iconic group” in question. That announcement never happened, but the Beach Boys are getting back together anyway — they just announced a new album and a world tour (kicking off at the New Orleans Jazz Fest in April) to commemorate their 50th anniversary. Even Brian Wilson signed up! Okay, let’s all celebrate with a little “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” at top volume.
