A big-screen followup to Starz’s ill-fated, never-not-funny Party Down was confirmed today at a Television Critics Association panel event. Season two cast member Megan Mullally said she’ll act in the film and that series co-creator John Enbom is now writing the screenplay.
“Filming on the pic is eyed for late spring/summer,â€Â Deadline writes, with the Hollywood Reporter adding that the entire original cast will return, with the potential exception of Jane Lynch. We’re reserving the right to a little heartbreak in case something gets snagged along the way, but in a post–Arrested Development–movie-actually-happening world, things like this feel a little more likely.
