Scottish stage actor and singer (of Pop Idol fame) Darius Campbell will play the a beastly mercenary bodyguard — as opposed to an actual fur and claws monster, boo — in ABC’s new Beauty and the Beast pilot. He certainly looks, er, beastly in this recent photo. As for the beauty, which both Deadline and TV Line describe as an “embattled princess,†she still remains to be cast.
