Peace has been declared on at least one front in the Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark legal wars: The musical’s producers will pay ousted director Julie Taymor $9,750 a week in royalties as part of a settlement announced today. The agreement, between the Spider-Man producers and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society union, ends the battle over Taymor’s contributions as a director; federal lawsuits concerning her role as creator and writer are still ongoing, though the Times reports that “settlement discussions are underway on that litigation as well.” Sad Julie Taymor is getting less sad by the day.
