Russell Brand has been arrested over a dozen times for crimes like taking off all his clothes at an anti-globalization protest or punching a photographer at the airport. His latest brush with the law isn’t quite in that league, alas: TMZ reports that Brand turned himself in today at a New Orleans police station to face charges after he allegedly took an amateur shutterbug’s cell phone and pitched it through the window of a law office, causing a whole $240 worth of damage. Those feel like some of the least exciting numbers, objects, and actions one could plug into a Russell Brand Mad Lib rap sheet, but they are the facts nevertheless, and he is now in police custody awaiting the electric chair. (Look, we wanted to jazz it up a little, okay?)
