Downton Abbey’s Theo James — that’s Mr. Pamuk to you, or poor Mr. Pamuk to Mary — has been cast in Greg Berlanti’s CBS cop drama Golden Boy, TV Line reports. James replaces Ryan Phillippe, who dropped out of the show just a few weeks after signing on for it, as a police officer who’s rapidly, and maybe too rapidly, rising through the ranks. Does this casting mean the influx of Downton folk to American TV is finally happening? If so, can someone please cast Ethel (Amy Nuttall) in something?
