Among the notable premieres at this year’s Tribeca Film Fest is the Jay Gammill-directed Free Samples, which stars Jess Weixler (Teeth) as a slacker covering a day-long shift at her friend’s ice-cream truck. Still hung-over from the night before and jonesing for a cup of coffee that never comes, Weixler has to deal with a host of quirky customers, including a persistent Jesse Eisenberg, who met Weixler during her debauched night and now hopes to ask her out for an actual date. In this exclusive clip, Eisenberg tries to pitch Weixler on a Mexican restaurant, but she’s not quite having it.
