David Fincher, Steven Soderbergh, and now Spike Jonze? Things are working out awfully well for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara, who recently edged out Blake Lively for the lead in Steven Soderbergh’s currently shooting The Bitter Pill. And now she’s circling a role in Spike Jonze’s next movie, about a man who falls for a computerized voice. That role, too, was once earmarked for Carey Mulligan (who previously lost the Dragon Tattoo role to Mara), though Variety reports that Mulligan had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. No word yet on whether Mara will then segue to those potential Dragon Tattoo sequels.
