A new group of CBGB investors (meaning: not the buyers who were involved in legal disputes with Hilly Kristal’s family for two years) are staging a music festival in New York this summer using the club’s name. Three-hundred bands will play at venues across the city, reports the Times, and the four-day extravaganza will also include movie screenings and conferences, SXSW-style. And yes, they’re still talking about reopening CBGB proper.Â
