The First Splitsider Comedy Book Club Book Isā€¦

And Hereā€™s The Kicker by Mike Sacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHTK won the popular comment vote, narrowly beating Chris Gethardā€™s A Bad Idea Iā€™m About to Do (which will definitely be the second book weā€™ll do). In a way, itā€™s the perfect book to start the series, as it offers so many different points of view. The book features 21 interviews with some of the most revered comedy writers ever from George Meyer to David Sedaris to Jack Handey to Bob Odenkirk to Harold Ramis ā€“ seriously, I kind of just want to list all the amazing names ā€“ each offering their unique perspective on comedy.

So, whatā€™s next? Step 1: We buy the book, unless you already have it, in which case you just need to remove the book from your bookshelf (be careful). If you buy it through our amazon link, it would be pretty cool because weā€™d get a few nickels from it. You obviously donā€™t have to but maybe if you wanted to get us an early 2nd anniversary gift. Step 2: Start reading the book. The hope is to finish the whole thing in a month. In two weeks, Iā€™ll check in and share what Iā€™ve loved thus far, please do the same.
