Al Pacino will star in a revival of Glengarry Glen Ross that’s hoping for a Broadway berth in the 2012-13 season, reports the Times. Pacino toplined the 1992 movie adaptation of David Mamet’s play, but he’d take on a different role in this version: the desperate real estate agent Shelley Levene, who Jack Lemmon played in the film. Mamet’s immortal Glengarry line “Always be closing†comes to mind, though we imagine this production won’t close for as long as Pacino’s on the marquee.
