Dax Shepard is terrific on Parenthood. He’s responsible for the magical Kristen Bell sloth meltdown. He seems pretty nice. But Hit and Run, which he wrote, directed, produced, and stars in, does not seem quite so pleasant, thanks in part to its overabundance of prison-rape jokes. Shepard stars as a former bank robber trying to go straight with his new girlfriend (Bell), only to get sucked back into a life of crime when his former accomplice (Cooper) gets out of prison. Where he was raped! Ha, ha, ha, ha. This is the red-band trailer, and it is decidedly NSFW.
