Well, why should we just tell you about the Oz the Great and Powerful trailer when we could simply show it to you? The teaser for Sam Raimi’s Wizard of Oz prequel premiered at Comic-Con earlier today, and it’s now online, giving glimpses of James Franco’s wizard, Michelle Williams as the good witch Glinda, Rachel Weisz as the wicked witch, and Mila Kunis as the most mysterious of the witches (and Franco’s potential love interest). Kunis isn’t rocking green skin yet, but that red hat is certainly an attention-getting, Kentucky Derby–ready look. Frankly, the whole thing is eye-popping and a welcome return to visual sumptuousness from director Sam Raimi: Now let’s hope that it’s only got a brain, too.
