TBS is developing another late-night show that could work as a companion series to Conan, sources close to production tell Vulture. The new series, produced under Conan O’Brien’s Conaco banner, would be hosted by comedian and comedy writer Pete Holmes and would be a slight departure from the typical talk-show format at only half an hour. Holmes’s podcast “You Made It Weird†has become a staple for comedy geeks, and his stand-up album Impregnated With Wonder is a treat. He definitely shares Conan’s goofy gregariousness, though he skews cynical where Conan skews silly. The show starts filming its pilot mid-August, but there’s no word yet on when TBS would have to render a final decision.
