Pour yourself a tall glass of juice, guys: The trailer for Lifetime’s remake of Steel Magnolias has arrived. The Robert Harling play, which inspired an immortal 1989 movie version, has here been reconfigured to star an all-black cast consisting of Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard, and Adepero Oduye. Things have been very gently updated — there is a Beyoncé reference — but otherwise, you’ll recognize a whole lot of lines and moments from the other movie, played a little more muted and Lifetime-y in this go-round. Your thoughts? Can we all agree that Woodard, at least, is giving full-on Ouiser realness?
