Russell Brand is set to star, produce, and thoroughly Russell up the romantic comedy Cupid. The story centers on a bitter cupid who is still forced to do his job of creating love via arrow. (High concept alert!) It’s likely that that this cupid will also be British and wear tight trousers. Joe Nussbaum, whose previous work includes American Pie: The Naked Mile, will direct the film. If you’ve been keeping track, since Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Brand has starred exclusively in bad movies. If only they can make a film about a charming British comedian who exclusively spends his time getting interviewed on talk shows, he’d be awesome in that.
