Dean Koontz’s five megapopular Frankenstein novels are being adapted for television. Deadline reports that TNT is developing Frankenstein, based on Prodigal Son, City of Night, Dead and Alive, Lost Souls, and Dead Town. (There was a TV movie way back in 2004, but that was based on just the first book.) The show and books are set in modern-day New Orleans and follow Victor Helios, a.k.a. Dr. Frankenstein, now a 200-year-old millionaire mad scientist who has to wage war against some of his terrifying creations. It’s also about cops and serial killers, because apparently everything in the world has to be about cops and serial killers, even things about 200-year-old mad scientists.
