TLC is doing for funerals what MTV did for sweet sixteen parties with the upcoming Best Funeral Ever. The show will premiere as a special on December 26, according to EW, and if it does well could be turned into a series, which is TLC’s usual MO. BFE follows the employees and clients of Dallas’s Golden Gate Funeral Home, where you can get a barbeque-themed coffin if that’s your thing. (Really. Or you can have a boxing-themed sendoff, as pictured.) Golden Gate focuses on home-going ceremonies in addition to the more staid, typical bummerzone funerals, so expect more dancing and less incense. New York’s hottest club is funerals, etc.
