Back in December 2011, New Jersey concert promoter Patrick Allocco and his son flew to Angola to prep a New Year’s Eve show headlined by Nas, who had been paid $300,000 for the gig in advance. However, the rapper failed to make his flight, and Allocco claims that he was kidnapped at gunpoint and held captive by a local promoter as a result. And as a result of that, Allocco filed a federal lawsuit against Nas on Friday; he’s seeking $10 million in damages for his lost home and business and physical and mental suffering. Though Nas has yet to formally respond to the suit, he did tell MTV News back in March that he’d never worked with Allocco before, and that by the time he’d been wired the money, “it was too late to go. I didn’t even have a visa to get in the country.â€
