Is Skrillex still Skrillex without the wubs and squeals and growls? This is the complex (Skrillplex) question asked by the producer’s new EP, Leaving. Some of it is actually quite subtle, especially compared to his usual dancing-robodinosaur-eating-a-monster-truck sound. The title track is particularly different, filled with a simple vocal sample and twinkling keys. That being said, there is still the reggae-ish “Scary Bolly Dub,†in which Skrills shows off all of his noisy tricks. Judge for yourself below. Wub wub.Â
