Gillian Anderson, reportedly returning to the American small screen for the first time in 11 years with a guest role on Hannibal next month, has landed a lead role in an untitled thriller pilot at NBC. “The conspiracy drama centers on an unlikely puppeteer who will bring everyone from CEOs to the president of the United States to their knees by threatening the things they hold most dear,†THR reports. Anderson will play a CEO whose daughter is abducted along with an entire private school class.
