What a crazy week it’s been. The Vatican elected a new cardinal to be pope, and Zooey Deschanel elected new dogs to be her dogs. She adopted (adorkted?) Zelda and Dot (cute) from L.A.-area rescue the Bill Foundation. She Instagrammed the dynamic duo, and as you can see below, they are pretty great, what with their eyes closed and their faces all shmooshed next to each other’s. (Are they twins? Or are they just the same breed? Wait, considering the whole litter system, don’t most dogs have many twins?) She called them the “Apples of [her] eyes,†which considering the source means they are exceptionally large apples. Mazel tov, ZD, but please careful when you nuzzle your face with their faces, because the universe might collapse from adorkableness.Â
