As Marvel enters phase two of its planned cinematic takeover, it appears there is a rush to get as many characters out there as possible. Earlier this week, they got the rights back for Daredevil from Fox. And now two other beloved characters might end up making an appearance. While speaking at the premiere of Iron Man 3, Joss Whedon alluded to a “brother-sister act†being locked in for The Avengers 2 (a.k.a. Look Who’s Avenging Too). (See him talk about it below, around the two-minute mark.) Nothing is confirmed, but speculation points to Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, a twin duo, who are the children of Magneto. Oddly enough, they went from X-Men villains to members of the Avengers, so, as a result, both Fox and Marvel have the rights to use them. If they end up appearing in both Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Avengers 2, we’ll finally have the superheroic version of Capote versus Infamous we’ve always dreamed of.
