Pride, Prejudice and Zombies Movie Is Back From the Dead

Pride, Prejudice and Zombies has been bouncing around so long, it’s been almost three years since its original director, David O. Russell, quit. Enlightened’s Mike White then signed on and eventually quit, and Craig Gillespie did the same after him. Natalie Portman was going to star, then Emma Stone, but both eventually left. Well, Variety reports the project is back from the dead, you know, like some sort of horror movie thing that comes back from the dead. Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down, Charlie St. Cloud) will direct and Mirror Mirror star/amazing-eyebrows-haver Lily Collins will play Elizabeth Bennet. They’re currently working from Russell’s original script, but a rewrite is definitely possible. Okay, sounds good, but we’ll see if it actually happens. We’re not holding our breath, because then we’d die and come back as zombies, and brains gross us out.
