The 10 Best Outfits We Spotted on TV This Season

The season that just ended was a well-dressed one. From the fashion-obsessed baby Carrie Bradshaw on The Carrie Diaries to the usually sartorially reserved Alicia Florrick on The Good Wife, TV costuming departments had a banner year — a year that included a few fabulous wedding dresses. While there are lots of perennially fashionable characters on TV — like Nolan on Revenge, Neal on White Collar, and Megan on Mad Men — this list focuses on specific individual ensembles, not overall achievement. Here are the ten outfits that made us say “want” (or at least “ooh”) the loudest.

The Carrie Diaries is set in the eighties, but a lot of its costumes are more like modern interpretations of eighties fashion rather than Americans-style actual eighties clothes. Carrie's sparkly, ethereal dress for her school's winter formal is no exception: It's Georges Chakra Couture from 2012, but it still has a sort of funky Russian ice-skater vibe to it, too.
