Comedian Jim Gaffigan has landed a second book deal. Crown Publishing announced yesterday evening that they’ve signed Gaffigan to write his second book, an untitled collection of essays on his favorite topic: food. It’s expected to come out sometime in 2014, and the deal is for seven figures. Gaffigan’s first book, Dad Is Fat, revolved around his life as a husband and father of five and debuted at #5 on the New York Times bestseller’s list last month. Gaffigan’s book deal comes in the wake of news that his autobiographical CBS sitcom pilot, which the network passed on last month, may be retooled by the network for next season, so it’s a pretty good week for Jim Gaffigan.
