Street Style: Crop Tops, Colors, and Wild Prints at the Afropunk Fest
Over the weekend at Fort Greene’s Commodore Barry Park, the ninth annual (and free) Afropunk Fest celebrating the overflowing range and talent of the African-American music scene went down — and simultaneously reminded us that the end of outdoor concerts (a.k.a. summer) is near. In addition to performances by Questlove, Theophilus London, Mykki Blanco, and more, the event featured food trucks, a skate park, and a custom-bike show. In turn, the stylish, music-loving crowd turned up in hordes, wearing the last of their vibrant, patterned, belly-baring festival outfits before the sun decides to go into hiding. Click through the slideshow to wave a final farewell to crop tops, jorts, customized moccasin booties, and a healthy amount of camo.
