Comedian Tom Green is coming back to television. Cable channel AXS TV announced this morning that Green will be hosting a new weekly talk show, aptly titled Tom Green Live, that’ll debut Thursday, October 3rd at 9pm EST. The one-hour show will be live and will take video calls from viewers. AXS TV is the new name of cable network HDNet, which was rebranded last year.
Tom Green’s last TV series, The Tom Green Show stopped production following his testicular cancer diagnosis in 2000 but was briefly revived by MTV as a late night talk show called The New Tom Green Show in 2003. After MTV canceled the series, Green went to the internet and started hosting Tom Green Live!, an earlier version of his upcoming AXS TV show, from his house on his TomGreen.com. The program was retitled Tom Green’s House Tonight before going off the air in 2012. He’s been hosting the podcast Tom Green Radio since earlier this year.
