CBS is giving a vote of confidence to new comedies Mom, The Millers, and The Crazy Ones, ordering full 22-episode seasons of all three. While none of the shows is a breakout, all have performed respectably and, more important, have held relatively steady the past two weeks. It helps that two of the newbies — The Millers and Mom — have been behind established CBS hits (The Big Bang Theory and 2 Broke Girls, respectively). But, whatever the reasons, the comedies currently stand as the three most-watched new comedies on any network this fall. (The Eye’s fourth new half-hour, We Are Men, was canceled after two weeks.) What’s more, while CBS’s new comedies aren’t blockbusters, they’re still far ahead of the struggling freshman half-hours on NBC, Fox, and ABC.
