Last night’s Glee was the Cory Monteith tribute episode. It was very, very sad. “The Quarterback†opened with a Kurt voice-over, with him helplessly wondering how one memorializes a 19-year-old. (The character Finn was 19. Monteith was 31.) “I’m going to spend the rest of my life missing him,†Kurt said of his stepbrother. Things got sadder from there. Glee was still Glee, though, so of course many of the characters then expressed themselves with song, which was both corny and appropriate. Lea Michele’s Rachel didn’t show up until the very end of the episode; she tearfully begged her New Directions friends not to treat her any differently in the wake of her boyfriend’s death. And then she sang “Make You Feel My Love,†and we all cried for 100 years. We’ll have a full recap up later this morning (update: read it here!), but for now, grab your tissues and let the feels out.
