Popular standup and actor Kevin Hart has sold a comedy to ABC. Variety reports that ABC just bought a pilot for a multi-camera sitcom based on Hart’s own standup material. Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, who worked on Scrubs and served as Dan Harmon’s co-showrunners on the first three seasons of Community, will write the script and executive produce. The show follows a divorced couple trying to become friends for the sake of their kids. Hart, who’s busy as a movie star and with wildly-successful standup tours, will not be a regular on the show, but he’s executive producing and is expected to play a recurring role if the pilot gets ordered to series.
