Deadline reports that Justin Lin, the director of the last four Fast & Furious movies, has signed on to direct the fifth installment of the Bourne franchise. (Though, it should be noted that Variety says he’s just in early discussions.) The studio is hoping for a summer 2015 release, with Jeremy Renner reprising his role of Aaron Cross. Lin (who directed Community’s first paintball episode, oddly enough) revived the Fast franchise, forming it into the powerhouse it has recently proven to be. Considering how Lin turned Dominic Toretto from a pretty fast driver into the greatest fighter in the world (who can also survive plane crashes), imagine what he’ll do with someone like Cross.
