Just a reminder that 2014 will be the year of the mini-series, with offerings such as Houdini biopics, Bible stories, Fargo, Hannibal — you name it, someone’s making a mini-series about it. Including BBC America, home of Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond, about Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond. The four-part series, which starts January 29, stars Dominic Cooper (Captain America, Mamma Mia!) as the debonair Brit, who, before he invented Bond, was content to split his time between rich-people hobbies, thwarting Nazis, and chasing broads. Join the club, Ian Fleming. We all like splitting our time between those things.
