The Kickstarter-funded Veronica Mars movie (simply called Veronica Mars) finally has a release date. On March 14, 2014 Warner Bros. will let the former TV show’s die-hard fans, the ones who banded together to help fund the film’s production, have their long-awaited resolution. The original plan for a limited engagement in a few cities has been stepped up a bit, said director Rob Thomas to Entertainment Weekly, allowing for a “wider, nationwide release … let[ting] the marketplace decide how long it should stay in theaters.” Guess the marketplace already decided that the movie should exist in the first place, so that seems reasonable.
