‘Burning Love’ Is Done (For Now)

It looks like Yahoo!’s Emmy-nominated web series Burning Love, a parody of dating shows, may have come to an end. “I think we’re all done,†creator Erica Oyama told Variety this week. “I addressed each incarnation of the source material – The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad. But if we had a great idea to reinvent it, I would be all for it.†Variety writes that there are currently no plans for a fourth season of the series. Written by Oyama, who produces the show alongside writing partner/husband Ken Marino, Burning Love debuted on Yahoo! to critical acclaim in 2012. Its third season finished airing last spring, and the show made the jump to television last year as well, with the E! network airing all three seasons. Oyama and Marino currently have a whole slew of film and TV projects in the works, so there’ll be no shortage of their comedy with Burning Love gone for the time being.
