WGN has announced its plans for a ten-part anthology mini-series series based on the Ten Commandments, with a different director for each commandment. So far Wes Craven, Gus Van Sant, Lee Daniels, Jim Sheridan, and Michael Cera have signed on. Perhaps some women will be asked to participate? That would be nice! In any case, one can only wonder which commandment Michael Cera will take on, just how vengeful the god of Wes Craven will be, and who will be the first to acknowledge that Mel Brooks’s Fifteen Commandments are the only ones we need.
