Saturday Night Live has found its next “Weekend Update†anchor: Head writer Colin Jost will take over for Seth Meyers starting March 1, Lorne Michaels announced today. Jost has been with SNL since 2005 and has been head writer since 2012, and it’s becoming pretty natural for writers to make their way to the anchor desk; Tina Fey did it in 2000 and Meyers did it in 2006. This also means there’s a good chance Jost will host Late Night With Colin Jost in eight or nine years.
