Rashida Jones to Star in Steve and Nancy Carell’s TBS Pilot ‘Tribeca’

Karen and Michael reunion alert! THR reports that Parks and Rec’s Rashida Jones has been cast as the lead in

“>Steve and Nancy Carell’s TBS comedy pilot Tribeca. The pilot is “a single-camera satirical look at a police procedural anchored by Angie Tribeca (Jones), a 10-year veteran of the LAPD’s elite RHCU – Really Heinous Crimes Unit.� Jones’s character is described as “a lone wolf who is capable, committed, strong and not thrilled when she’s told she has to work with a partner. A cut-to-the-chase girl who speaks her mind, she treads where many fear to venture.� Jones will begin filming the pilot in February and March.

Jones’s final Parks and Recreation episode is scheduled for January 30th next week, but this casting news is far from the only future project she has on her plate. Along with her writing partner Will McCormack, Jones has sold six scripts and got an NBC pilot order for A to Z, a romantic comedy set in the office of an online dating company.
