Beck has impressed, confounded, and intrigued throughout his career, but his boldest project to date is likely Song Reader, a collection of twenty compositions he published as sheet music in 2012. In lieu of recording the songs himself, he set up a website allowing fans and fellow musicians to submit their own interpretations of his work. As part of our Beck bonanza today, Vulture scoured YouTube to find great renditions each of the twenty tunes — including a few performed live by the musician himself and others involving the Mighty Boosh, Jenny Lewis, and Anne Hathaway — and offer them up here in the order the tracks appear in Song Reader.
