St. Vincent got some rare downtime in New York earlier this month before the touring onslaught for her self-titled fifth album. Photographer Petra Collins followed the indie musician (also known as 31-year-old Annie Clark) for two days, from her downtown Manhattan apartment to the consignment shop Tokio 7 to check out a leather jacket, Standard East Village for lunch, and West St. Studios for a photo shoot. Click through the gallery ahead for photos, plus Clark’s thoughts on Philip Seymour Hoffman, Albert Einstein, selfies, penis art, and bloody knees.
