After many years spent trying to develop the project, Jeff Bridges’s The Giver is finally here. Save its unknown and too-old lead Brenton Thwaites, the film is fairly star-studded, featuring Bridges, Meryl Streep, Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd, Katie Holmes, and Taylor Swift. Yes, Taylor Swift. The film is set for an August 15 release, perfectly timed for middle-school summer “reading.â€
